I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. This book had a lot of emotion but it is quite various from Max and Jana's story, theirs was more visceral. Teddy is a spit-fire and keeps Tate on his toes. Not good Teddy is being stalked and the stalker is escalating, add to that her growing feelings for Tate who just suddenly disappears, from his own home no less, leaving her damage and even more determined than ever never to trust or rely on anyone. Before that, though, the anger he had from his wrongful imprisonment, was doing him in, and I really felt for him.
Teddy is an independent woman she and Jana connected through foster care and Tate has come through being exonerated of a crime he didn't commit after spending time in prison, he's started a tattoo busines Good story and I do recommend if you you've read the first book. They are unable to fight their attraction once they are confined together. I loved the Tate+Teddy relationship. Teddy, a super model who was raised in the foster care system. She hides half her face to avoid being stared atconstantly.
I have to say, most of the neutral rating is due to my pet peeve-- eye rolls, 29 of them. When Teddy begins to receive threats and strange gifts, Tate volunteers to help protect her. This was a really heartfelt book also. This is Tate and Teddy's story, I just loved these two both have plenty of scars from their pasts she does not trust easily and he is still struggling with being wrongly convicted. She tempts the monster and lures him to the surface. I have read the other Caos books and have love everyone that I have read.
So, they go along with a teasing relationship filled with some tension, and everything's fine. Good personalities, their banter if fun and feels natural. Teddy needs a tattoo to cover the scar on her leg that ended her career, and Tate is her go-to guy. Teddy is a spit-fire and keeps Tate on his toes. He decided to take up painting, where he met the most gorgeouswoman, Jana who also has physical scars from an abusive stepfather. They begin off as merely mates who are attracted to each other, who lightly flirt with each other, but never take it further than that.
Loved how both of these characters were strong willed and stubborn. Love filthy talking bikers who can drop your panties with just a whisper? But they both have ghosts that haunt them, Max more than her, so to be able to move forward they have to deal with the past and show threatening to ruin what they could have for a future. I loved the sassy dialogue and the fact that Teddy is independent and confident in who she is. You still feel for him because he obviously always wants the best for Jana. Poor things happened and now she is an happening planner. Tate receives a phone call from a woman wanting a tattoo. We first met both of these people in.
It's just another amazing read from K. Can these two obtain on the same page and allow their defenses down? Just me, him, and that adorable little girl. But as their relationship becomes more for both of them, can they handle the commitment and admit they are more than just friends. You still feel for him because he obviously always wants the best for Jana. I really like Beautifully Broken. When she needs help, he is their to help her. Teddy is a former model but her career ended when an accident left her permanently scarred.
What an awesome story that had me in tears more than once, keeping the Kleenex beside me just in case as I flipped page after page. . One of my favorites from this author. Tate is protective, but his lightheartedness with Teddy softens that hard alpha edge. The characters are likeable and well described. There is too much sex. The agreement was one month.
